The recognition continued to roll in for sophomore Noah Campanelli of the St. John Fisher College baseball program as the Pittsford native was included in D3baseball.com's Team of the Week following his exploits on the field during the week that concluded Sunday, April 4, 2021.
The middle infielder, who was also named the Empire 8 Baseball Player of the Week on Monday, batted .643 last week as the Cardinals picked up three wins overall including a sweep of Keuka College in Empire 8 play.
Campanelli had nine hits in 14 at-bats on the week including four doubles, seven RBI, 11 runs scored, three walks and a pair of stolen bases.
Against RIT on Wednesday, the sophomore was 2-for-5 at the plate with a double, an RBI and two runs scored before adding two more hits in three at-bats with four RBI and four runs in a 17-0 win over Keuka.
The Pittsford native closed out the week with a 5-for-6 performance that including two doubles, two RBI and a team-leading five runs scored in a 22-0 win over Keuka on Saturday.
Campanelli and the rest of the baseball team will go for their sixth win a row at 4 p.m. on Wednesday when they travel across town to take on Rochester Institute of Technology at Tiger Stadium.
