Five Empire 8 Women's Track Teams Earn 2020-21 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors

Empire 8 institutions Hartwick College, Nazareth College, Russell Sage College, St. John Fisher College and Utica College were named 2020-21 NCAA Division III Women's Track & Field All-Academic Teams, announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
 
Overall, there were 212 men’s teams that received All-Academic honors in NCAA Division III for the 2020-21 season.
 
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
 
2021 Empire 8 Indoor and Outdoor Champion St. John Fisher led the five E8 schools with a team GPA of 3.68, while Hartwick was right behind with a 3.58 GPA and Naxareth compiled a 3.51 mark. Utica and Russell Sage compiled team GPAs of 3.36 and 3.35, respectively to qualify as well.
