Empire 8 Has 102 Student-Athletes Named to 2021 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad

The Empire 8 announced that 102 student-athletes from its nine member institutions were named to the 2021 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad. In addition, 14 seniors or fifth-year student-athletes earned Academic Squad honors for the fourth consecutive season.

Over 2,300 student-athletes from 161 Division III institutions earned recognition on the 2021 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad. Hartwick led the way with 19 honorees, while 2021 E8 Champion St. John Fisher was right behind with 17. Elmira, Houghton and Washington & Jefferson each had 11 student-athletes selected.

The NFHCA National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, honors collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.
