Nazareth graduate student Taylor Robey, along with senior Allie Norwood were selected to compete in the 2022 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships set for March 16-19 at the IUPUI IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Robey will compete in the 50-, 100- and 200-yard freestyle events. The 50-yard freestyle takes place on Wednesday, March 16, while the 200-free is Thursday, March 17 and 100-free is Saturday, March 19. Preliminary action begins each day at 10 a.m., while the finals commence at 6 p.m. Norwood will compete in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. The 1-meter championship takes place on Thursday, March 17, while the 3-meter is March 19.

A total of 579 participants (526 swimmers and 53 divers) will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the swimming portion of the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. Divers were determined by performances achieved at the regional diving meets February 25-26.

Robey, a native of Hurley, NY has enjoyed a storied career for Nazareth and will look to excel at nationals. She qualified for the fourth year in a row and holds the nation's top time in the 50-yard freestyle at :22.79. She also is seeded seventh in the 100-yard freestyle (:50.54). Last month, Robey set Empire 8 records in winning the 50- and 100-yard events at the 2022 Empire 8 Championships. She is an 18-time Empire 8 Champion.

Robey competed at nationals in 2019 and earned All-American honors in 2020 and 2021, as the national championships were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It marks the fourth year in a row that Norwood has been selected to compete at nationals, but she was only able to compete during her freshman season in 2019 since the 2020 and 2021 championships were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Norwood finished 19th in the 1-meter event and 20th in the 3-meters at the 2019 NCAA Championship.

Norwood qualified after finishing sixth in the 1-meter competition and eighth in the 3-meter competition at last weekend's NCAA Division III Region 4 Championship at Ithaca. She scored 404.50 in the 1-meter and 422.35 in the 3-meter. She is one of 29 divers from across the country that will be competing.

Norwood is a five-time Empire 8 Diving Champion and was named Diver of the Meet at the 2022 Empire 8 Championship for the third time last month.
