KEUKA PARK, NY — The Keuka College Department of Athletics has announced that Rachel Fiser will be the next women's volleyball coach at Keuka College.
Fiser takes over for Quinn Wright who resigned following three seasons and the helm of the Wolves to pursue other opportunities outside of coaching.
"We are extremely excited to welcome Rachel to Keuka College," said Director of Athletics Jon Accardi. "I would like to thank Quinn for his time with the College and for helping guide us into the Empire 8. I feel that Rachel will fit right into our campus culture and continue to push the Wolves towards success in the conference."
A California native, Fiser first came to New York to attend SUNY Brockport. Following her undergraduate work, she remained at Brockport as an assistant coach while earning her master's degree in athletic administration. She recently worked at Syracuse University as the Director of Volleyball Operations and has also coached various clubs in the Greater Rochester area.
"I am so grateful for the opportunity to become the next head volleyball coach at Keuka College," commented Rachel Fiser. Having spent the last eight years playing and coaching collegiate volleyball in upstate New York, I've experienced firsthand the kind of work ethic and mentality needed to succeed at this level of competition."
Fiser was a leader on the volleyball court for the Golden Eagles. She was a team captain and helped Brockport to three SUNYAC Championships and berths into the NCAA Tournament. As a coach at Brockport, Fiser again helped lead the Golden Eagles to a SUNYAC Championship and NCAA berth in the 2019 season.
"I'm excited to build on the success that Keuka has had and continue to grow a winning legacy in the Empire 8 Conference," added Fiser. "I want to thank Director of Athletics Jon Accardi and my new colleagues for this opportunity. Go Wolves!"
Rachel Fiser will now focus on the start of the 2022 season. The Wolves return an exciting team that qualified for the Empire 8 Tournament in their first season of conference competition. Keuka College will open its year at home on September 2 as they host their annual season-opening invitational at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.
