Empire 8 Commissioner Chuck Mitrano announced that Tony Perdue will serve as the Empire 8 Men’s and Women’s Soccer Supervisor of Officials, effective for the 2022 season.
“We are thrilled to welcome Tony as our Soccer Supervisor of Officials,” said Mitrano. “Tony is an accomplished referee who is respected by his peers, coaches and administrators. Those qualities paired with his vision for enhancing our service and growing our pool of officials make him the ideal leader for the future of Empire 8 Soccer officiating.
Perdue has served as a college soccer official in New York State since 1994. He has also served as an assignor for the Rochester chapter of National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association for over 10 years.
I am looking forward to establishing excellent relationships with the soccer coaches and administrators within the Empire 8,” said Perdue. “I am very excited about this new opportunity and believe my experience at all levels of soccer will help me succeed in this position.”
Perdue earned his bachelor’s degree from Penn State University.
