PITTSFORD, NY – Junior Riley Rease scored a goal and assisted on another as the St. John Fisher University men's soccer team defeated Utica, 3-0, on Saturday at Growney Stadium.
Rease lofted the ball over-and-into the net early in the game to make the score 1-0, and later assisted a goal by fifth-year student Tim Brown in the 24th minute to make it 2-0.
Junior Adam Grover scored the third goal, his first as a Cardinal, in the 37th minute for the final 3-0 score.
Graduate student Christian Burkhart made a save in just over 80 minutes of work before being replaced by senior Mike Nesser, who made three saves in his first action of the year.
