BIRMINGHAM, AL – Nazareth Track and Field assistant coach Alexa Wandy earned the 2022-23 Niagara Region Assistant Coach of the Year award as announced by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on March 8.
Wandy specializes with the vertical and horizontal jumpers for the Golden Flyers and led the group to impressive finishes all season.
In her sixth year as assistant coach at Nazareth, the jumpers accounted for 37 points of Nazareth's 192 points in winning the Empire 8 Conference Indoor Championships. Her athletes won Empire 8 titles in the high jump and long jump in earning #EventSquad Rankings in the long jump (No. 9), triple jump (No. 14) and high jump (No. 27).
