The Saxons responded with a seven-run sixth inning, retaking the lead and separating them from Elmira with a 9-4 lead. Meghan Neto (Miami, FL/Doral Academy Charter) was the first to cross home plate when Abigail Gatza (Burlington, ON, Canada/Assumption Catholic) singled to center field. Arden Hatch (Orangevale, CA/St. Francis) singled to left field sending O'Toole across the home plate and Gatza's pinch-runner, Gillian Flint (Caledonia, NY/Caledonia-Mumford) as well, making it 5-4 in AU's favor.

After that, the Saxons loaded the bags as Mya Wells (San Ramon, CA/California) walked, pushing Hatch across the plate. Ashley Lugo (Hesperia, CA/Oak Hills) singled to left field to score Ashmore. Remm followed with a hard hit to the pitcher, going into the books as a single while Carrillo scored her second run of the game. An error by the third baseman of Elmira, placed Neto safe on first while giving Wells the opportunity to score the ninth Saxon run of the game.

The Saxons closed out the scoring with a Remm single to center field in the top of the seventh inning, sending Carrillo home and Lugo in pursuit for the 11-4 lead and eventual win.
