The Empire 8 Conference announced its 2023 Empire 8 Softball Championship All-Tournament Team on Wednesday, May 17. Senior outfielder Allie Klonowski of St. John Fisher University was named the Empire 8 Tournament Most Valuable Player after leading the Cardinals to their league title in program history over the weekend.
Klonowski, who was also named to the E8 Championship All-Tournament Team in 2021 and 2022, enjoyed a tremendous 2023 tournament, batting .462 (6-for-13) with three runs scored and two RBI in the four games. Klonowski had two of Fisher’s three hits in the opener on Championship Saturday against Russell Sage and added a hit, RBI and two runs scored in the 6-1 win over the Gators in the decisive game of the tournament. Klonowski was one of four St. John Fisher student-athletes to earn All-Tournament Team honors.
