Eight Empire 8 baseball student-athletes earned All-Region honors, as the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and D3baseball.com announced their 2023 All-New York Region teams. Five players from 2023 Empire 8 Champion St. John Fisher were honored, while Utica had a pair of players honored and Russell Sage had one player earn All-Region plaudits. St. John Fisher second baseman Noah Campanelli, the 2023 Empire 8 Player of the Year, was also named the Region III Player of the Year. Teammate Patrick McGuire was also the D3baseball.com Region III Pitcher of the Year.
The ABCA All-America team was first recognized in 1949 and now includes nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II and III, Pacific Association Division, and high school. ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007. The D3baseball.com selections Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools.
