Senior libero/defensive specialist Seth Terzo of the Nazareth University men's volleyball team was named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® At-Large NCAA Division III Team, which recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Terzo was a first team selection.
The 2022-23 Academic All-America® At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. In order to be eligible for both All-District and All-American consideration, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, hold a 3.30 cumulative GPA or above and be a starter or important reserve for their respective teams.
Terzo, who has a tremendous 3.96 grade-point average as a Biomedical Sciences major, has earned countless accolades this Spring for the Golden Flyers. He earned AVCA All-Region and All-American honors. Terzo was the lone libero to earned All-America recognition. The Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year averaged 2.42 digs per set and totaled 235 for the season. Over his four-year career, he amassed 676 digs which ranks fourth all-time at Nazareth.
Terzo only had 11 receive errors for 97 sets played on the season. He finished the year with a .983 receive percentage.
Terzo becomes the third CSC Academic All-America selection from the Empire 8 in 2022-23, joining fellow Golden Flyer men's soccer standout Cuneyt Vardar and Noah Campanelli from the St. John Fisher University baseball program.
