Nazareth's Alexa Rizzo and Hartwick's Mikey Schultz Are Set To Participate at 2024 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships

Nazareth senior diver Alexa Rizzo has qualified for the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, March 20-23 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, NC. Rizzo has earned a spot in both the 1 and 3-meter diving events. The women's 1-meter diving will take place on Thursday, March 21, while the 3-meter diving will take place on Saturday, March 23. 
 
Rizzo earned a spot at the NCAA Championship after taking second place overall at the NCAA Regional at RIT where she finished as ruuner-up on the 1-meter board. She finished with a score of 441.65 on the board. In addition, Rizzo earned her second Empire 8 and Allegheny Empire Championship in the 1-meter event on Feb. 15 with a score of 486.75.
 
The Canandaigua, NY native is the first Nazareth diver to compete at nationals since Allie Norwood did so in 2022, finishing in eighth place on the 1-meter board. She will look to become Nazareth's 15th different NCAA All-American.

Hartwick senior swimmer Mikey Schultz has qualified for the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, March 20-23 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, NC. Schultz has earned a spot in the 200 Individual Medley, 100 yard and 200 yard butterfly.

Schultz qualified for the championships with a one minute and forty-eight second finish in the 200 yard butterfly this season, along with fast enough finishes in the 200 IM and the 100 yard butterfly.
 
The Binghamton, NY native will look to become the first Hartwick NCAA All-American since 2016 when Matt Plunkett earned Honorable Mention in the 200 yard backstroke.
