MIDDLETOWN, CT – The Alfred University women's tennis team will compete in the NCAA Regional Championship following its second-ever Empire 8 Championship during the 2023-24 season. The Saxons (13-2, 5-1 Empire 8) will travel to Middletown, Connecticut to take on University of Redlands (10-7, 5-2 SCIAC) on Friday, May 10 for a 12 p.m. match. The host for each of the first three rounds will be Wesleyan University.

All matches are non-ticketed events, as spectators are welcome to enjoy the matches free of charge.
The Saxons ended the regular season as the No. 2 seed following a 5-1 Empire 8 record, with their only conference loss coming against No. 1 Hartwick College during the regular season. AU topped No. 3 Nazareth University 5-4 and No. 4 St. John Fisher University 5-3 during the postseason to win the Empire 8 Championship title.

Redlands received an at-large bid and is currently ranked No. 16 in the nation, according to the most recent ITA rankings. The Bulldogs previously fell to No. 3 nationally ranked Pomona-Pitzer in the SCIAC Tournament.
