UTICA, NY – Alessandro Lancia '26 scored in the 66th minute for the Elmira College Soaring Eagles as they took down Empire 8 rival SUNY Poly on the road, giving head coach Jim McIntyre his first win with the program.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Lancia's unassisted goal at the 65:13 mark in the second half was all the offense Elmira needed to get by the Wildcats.

Juan Carlos Cruz Gandia '27 stopped all three shots he faced, earning his first shutout since November 1, 2023 against Hartwick.

Lancia, Juan Castillo '28, Pietro Gallina '26, and Valentino Aguilera '27 all had shots on goal in the match.

The Soaring Eagles are back on home turf, under the lights on Wednesday, September 25 at 7:00 PM to take on the Russell Sage Gators in more Empire 8 action. EC took last year's meeting over the Gators 2-0.
