The Empire 8 is proud to announce the creation of a new feature series for the 2024-25 season, which will run on Thursdays or Fridays through December. The Empire 8 "Emerging Leaders" series will kick off on Sept. 13.
The Empire 8 Emerging Leaders series will feature Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) representatives from all 12 full-time member institutions. The selected student-athlete wil discuss what makes a great leader and the impact the Empire 8 has had on them as they become leaders on their team, in the classroom and campus community.
"The Empire 8 Emerging Leaders series continues to showcase the Empire 8's focus on leadership and passion for for Division III athletics," said Empire 8 Senior Associate Commissioner Joe Venniro. "We are proud to showcase several of our emerging leaders shine on the field, in the classroom, represent our Student-Athlete Advisory Committees and will continue to lead well after their collegiate careers."
The Emerging Leaders series will be featured on the conference's website and social media platforms through December. The conference will also be using the #E8Leaders #LeadersCompeteHere and #WhyD3 hashtags on its X and Instagrams platforms as a way for fans to follow along with the series.
