ROCHESTER, NY – The Hartwick women's tennis team formally clinched the Empire 8 Regular Season title with a 6-1 win over St. John Fisher University on Saturday afternoon at the Midtown Athletic Club. Hartwick heads into next week's Empire 8 Tournament with an 8-0 mark in league play.

The Hawks will host the semfinals and championship of the 2025 Empire 8 Women's Tennis Championship Tournament, starting Friday, Oct. 17. Hartwick will host the winner of No. 4 St. John Fisher and No. 5 Alfred University in one semifinal at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 17. The winner of that match will take on the second semifinal winner in the title match at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18.
