St. John Fisher University Names Sean Marren Associate Athletic Director

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Sean Marren has been named St. John Fisher University’s Associate Athletic Director, Director of Athletics and Recreation Jennifer Granger announced on Wednesday. 

Marren joins Fisher’s athletics department after spending more than a decade (2012-2025) at Finger Lakes Community College. In his role, Marren will lead the department’s compliance and student-athlete success efforts. He will also have oversight of Fisher’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee and multiple Cardinal teams. 

“It is truly an honor to accept the Associate Director of Athletics job here at St. John Fisher University,” Marren said. “I would like to thank Jen Granger for the opportunity to be a part of the Fisher family. St. John Fisher is a special place, and I look forward to helping provide the best student-athlete experience possible.”

Marren led FLCC’s baseball program for 14 seasons, earning MSAC Coach of the Year honors seven times and NJCAA Region III Coach of the Year honors in 2019. He became FLCC’s assistant athletic director in 2019 after working on the college’s admissions staff for seven years. 

Marren played four years of collegiate baseball and earned his bachelor’s degree in history and American studies from Mary Washington University. He later completed his master’s degree in sport management at California University of Pennsylvania.
