Ella Greico (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford) earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Offensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention accolades on Wednesday, Nov. 12 for games played Nov. 3 - Nov. 9.
Greico had an impressive week during the 2025 Empire 8 Field Hockey Championship Tournament. On Wednesday, in the Knight's semifinal match against St. John Fisher, she broke the single-season program record in goals (25) and points (60). In that game she had three goals and one assist. Against Nazareth, in the championship game, Greico tallied 12 shots on goal with two goals. She ended the week with a total of 17 shots on goal, five goals and one assist.
She is the third Empire 8 student-athlete to receive NFHCA weekly accolades in the 2025 season.
Geneseo plays next, today, Nov. 12, in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship Tournament. They travel to Hamilton where they will play at 5:00 p.m.
