PITTSFORD, NY – The St. John Fisher women's volleyball team will face the Wentworth Institute of Technology in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at Johns Hopkins University's Goldfarb Gymnasium in Baltimore, Maryland.

The winner would move on to face La Verne or Penn State Behrend in the second round at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Host Johns Hopkins faces Stevenson, and Lynchburg matches up William Smith in the regional's other two first-round games.

The Cardinals (29-1), winners of 29 consecutive matches, claimed their sixth Empire 8 title and punched their ticket to their seventh NCAA Division III Tournament with a sweep of Hartwick (25-18, 25-18, 25-18) in the conference title game this past Saturday.

Fisher owns the second-longest active winning streak in all three NCAA Divisions behind East Texas Baptist (31 matches) entering the tournament. The Cardinals own a 38-2 mark in their last 40 matches dating back to the middle of last season.

Wentworth (23-4) captured the Conference of New England title with a four-set victory over Endicott on Saturday. The Leopards will be making their third appearance in the NCAA Tournament and second in the last three seasons.
