Nazareth standout Kaijah Alexander Named Finalist for NFCA Division III Freshman of the Year

ROCHESTER, NY - Nazareth third baseman Kaijah Alexander was named a finalist for the 2025 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III Freshman of the Year following her incredible rookie debut this season.

Alexander is one of ten finalists, one from each of the ten NCAA regions. At the plate, Alexander led the Golden Flyers with a .536 batting average and an impressive 1.064 slugging percentage. Over the season she hit 16 home runs and 10 doubles, while knocking in 56 RBIs, and earning an on-base percentage of .602.

Alexander will be Coach Margaret Yerdon-Grange's second NFCA Rookie of the Year nomination in three years, her first in 2023 at University of Rochester.
