Brockport, NY – On June 19
th, the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) released its 2025 ABCA NCAA Division III Region All-Defensive teams. As part of Region III, Brockport earned a pair of All-Defensive selections in Jason Mansell and Josh Indek.
The Golden Eagles' 2025 Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year, Jason Mansell collects the first ABCA All-Defensive Team nod of his career. Starting 25 games behind the plate for Brockport, Jason had an excellent year leading the Brockport pitching staff to the top of the conference. Mansell finished the season with a .989 fielding percentage (3 errors), 24 assists, and 238 putouts. The catcher also chipped in offensively with a .250 average to go with 22 hits, four doubles, and 10 RBIs.
Over at second base this year with Josh Indek, who also earned his first ABCA All-Defensive Team honors in 2025. Indek put together a great junior campaign, which resulted in a 2
nd-Team All-Conference selection. In the field he earned a .987 fielding percentage (2 errors), had 75 assists, 75 putouts, and helped turn 14 double plays. At the plate he batted .336 with a .462 on base percentage. Indek stole 12 bases and had 16 total sacrifices to go with 49 hits, 49 runs, two doubles, three triples, one homer, and 21 RBIs. Josh was one of four Golden Eagles to start all 43 games in 2025.
The Golden Eagles claimed the 2025 Empire 8 Conference Championship this spring to earn the automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Championships. A pair of losses in the regional round ended the campaign at 36-5-2 overall and a 21-1-1 mark in E8 competition.
