The St. John Fisher women's basketball program earned the number three spot in the 2024-25 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Honor Roll. Houghton University, Alfred University, SUNY Geneseo and SUNY Brockport were all Special Mention.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women’s basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2024-25 season is the 30th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls. Teams having a 3.0 combined GPA and qualifying for consideration for the top 25 in their respective divisions are also listed as special mentions.
St. John Fisher, led by head coach Sarah Cartmill had the highest team GPA among E8 programs with a 3..838, 3rd-best nationally. Houghton University, coached by Phil Pellegrino was the next highest, 28th nationally with a 3.710 GPA.
