BROCKPORT, NY – Junior forward Emily Woolingham scored twice, and sophomore goalkeeper Isabella Ayers recorded her seventh shutout of the season as the St. John Fisher women's soccer team topped SUNY Brockport 3-0 on the road on Wednesday evening.

The Cardinals secured the No. 1 seed for the Empire 8 Conference Championship Tournament with the victory, their 11th in a row. They improved to 14-1-0 overall and 10-0 in conference play.

How It Happened

Fisher scored 4:02 into the game. Sophomore midfielder Morgan Tara's shot hit the post, and Woolingham put in the rebound two seconds later for her team-leading fifth game-winning goal of the season.

The first half was even after that, with both teams taking six shots. Fisher had the only two corner kicks of the half and forced three saves. Ayers made the one save she needed to send the Cardinals into halftime ahead 1-0.

Woolingham scored again early in the second half. Junior forward Olivia Kalil's shot was saved at 47:34, and Woolingham scored on the rebound two seconds later to make it 2-0 at 47:36.

Freshman midfielder Olivia Feehan finished the scoring at 75:17 with an assist from junior defender Alyssa Price.

Ayers made two saves in the second half to keep the clean sheet. The Fisher defense held Brockport to three shots on goal all night.
