Ten Empire 8 student-athletes were selected to the 2025-26 United States Basketball Writers Association Rochester Area NCAA Division II-III Teams. The team was selected by The Rochester Chapter of the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. Molly Benetti of Nazareth University was named Player of the Year and Nazareth's Kelly Dunne-Romig was named Coach of the Year.
Benetti, along with teammates Kiara Anglin and Katie MacLachlan of Nazareth in addition to the SUNY Brockport duo of Mandy Brink and Stephanie Jean-Baptiste, Grace Galgano and Maggie McGrane of SUNY Geneseo, Presleigh Brunner from St. John Fisher University and Brooke Burd from Keuka College were named to the USBWA Rochester Area First Team. Hannah Ferguson of St. John Fisher was an honorable mention selection. Benetti, Galgano and Jean-Baptiste are all three-time selections.
Student-athletes were selected from the nine Rochester area institutions, Keuka, Nazareth and St. John Fisher from the Empire 8, Roberts Wesleyan College, University of Rochester, RIT, SUNY Brockport, SUNY Geneseo and William Smith College.
