Women’s Tennis Player  - Ithaca

Allison Young was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player as she led Ithaca College to its ninth consecutive Empire 8 Women’s Tennis Championship. The Bombers defeated Stevens Institute of Technology, 5-1, in the semifinals on Saturday and went on to defeat Nazareth, 5-0, in the title match on Sunday.   Young partnered with Cristina Nunez on Saturday at first doubles and earned an 8-6 win over Jessica Bourque and Lisa Tessitore, ITA regional doubles championship team. On Sunday, Young teamed with Haley Kusak at first doubles against Nazareth and posted an 8-4 win. She then went on to a 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles.
