Thompson stuffed the stat sheet with 25 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals in just 24 minutes of play during Utica’s season-opening 86-70 win over SUNY Potsdam on Friday evening. Thompson was incredibly efficient, shooting 6-for-7 from the floor including 4-of-5 from 3-point range. In addition, he was 9-of-10 from the free throw line in the win. Thompson scored 19 of his 25 points in the second half for the Pioneers in the win.
