Hagan broke away from a tight pack late to pull away from teammate Charlie Wilson to win the Empire 8 Men’s Cross Country Championship individual title by just under three seconds in the E8 Championship record time of 24:10.2 over 8,000-meters at Field of Dreams Park on the campus of Houghton University Saturday. He recorded a blistering mile time of 4:52 en route to leading No. 5 Geneseo to the Empire 8 Team Championship. It is Hagan’s second E8 weekly honor of 2024.
