The duo of Mannara and Marcano won all three of their doubles matches this past week to lift the Lakers to the 2025 Empire 8 Men’s Tennis Championship. The duo opened the week with an 8-4 win at first doubles over Nolan Zach and Graham Cook of Houghton, as the Lakers earned a 6-1 in the opening round. Mannara and Marcano recorded an 8-2 win over Gabriel McPhail and Seb Soto of Thomas College in the E8 Semifinal match, as Oswego rolled to a 7-2 win. In the title match, Mannara and Marcano found themselves down 4-0 to Max Funiciello and Griffin Bond before roaring back to earn a key 8-6 win and shift the momentum of the match, as Oswego eventually pulled out a 5-1 victory.
