Rumble enjoyed a tremendous week for SUNY Canton, winning one event while setting the SUNY Canton program scoring record and finishing runner-up in another and top five in his only other event. In just his third collegiate event he broke the Roos D-III era scoring record shooting 4-under par, 68, to win the Clarkson Invitational on Wednesday. He bested the field of 39 golfers by four strokes to lead the Roos to a first-place team score of 301 as the team also won by four strokes over Clarkson and St. Lawrence (305). Rumble went out in 32 before coming home in 36 as he registered an eagle, five birdies and eight pars on his round.
On Saturday and Sunday Rumble shot a 36-hole total of 6-over par, 150, to finish in a tie for fifth place out of 70 golfers at the St. Lawrence Invitational. He finished with five birdies and an eagle on the weekend including holing out for eagle from 148 yards out on the par four ninth hole on Saturday. He concluded his week by finishing in second place out of 24 golfers at the Lou Jarvis Memorial at Jay Peak Resort Golf Course on Monday. He finished just one shot out of first place going out in 41 before coming home in 2-under par, 34. He birdied four holes while recording eight pars to lead the Roos to a second place finish out of five teams.
