Varble won the 1,000-meter run in 3:01.24 to break the school record set in 2004, besting her previous best mark by more than 10 seconds at the RIT Invitational on Saturday.  She was also part of the 1,600-metre relay team that placed first by more than five seconds in a time of 4:14.89.
