Barrett was named Most Valuable Player of the Empire 8 Women’s Basketball Championship as second-seeded Stevens won its second conference title in three years at Ithaca. She finished with nine points, 19 rebounds, three steals, and a block in the Ducks’ 57-48 win over the top-seeded Bombers in the final. Barrett’s heroics sent Stevens into the final with 19 points and a career-high 22 rebounds in a 66-61 Ducks’ victory over St. John Fisher in the semifinals. She connected on a traditional three-point play with 0.4 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime.
