Frank Szucs became the first Steven’s golfer to earn Empire 8 Golfer of the Year honors after compiling a four-round score of 306 (75-77-78-76), earning a four-shot victory over the field at the 2017 Empire 8 Men’s Golf Championship. He was the only golfer in the championship field to shoot all four rounds under 80.
