Griffin led Salisbury on a six-play, 75-yard scoring drive for the game-winning touchdown as the Gulls edged Christopher Newport 27-23. He completed four of six passes on the drive, including a 19-yard touchdown pass to Doug Tiese, his second touchdown pass of the game. Griffin’s 194 passing yards (7-for-12) are the most by a Salisbury quarterback since 2007. He also rushed for 90 yards and one touchdown.
