Segala completed 16-of-25 passes (64 percent) for 278 yards and four touchdowns, and also ran for a score, in Cortland's 44-12 win over visiting Utica to open Empire 8 play Saturday. He threw 55-yard and 47-yard TD passes in the first half to help Cortland take an early 14-3 lead and added 13-yard and 51-yard scoring tosses in the first five minutes of the third quarter to put the Red Dragons ahead 35-6. Segala added a 4-yard TD run with 3:25 left in the game. He finished the game with a 210.2 passing efficiency rating. A two-time E8 Offensive Player of the Week, Segala now has 13 touchdown passes to just two interceptions in four games this season.
