Hare was named 2020 Empire 8 Men’s Basketball Tournament Most Valuable Player after averaging 22.0 points per game in leading the Cardinals to the E8 Championship this weekend. On Friday, Hare poured in 22 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the floor and 8-of-9 shooting from the foul line to go along with five boards, three assists and two steals in an 81-69 win over Utica in the semifinals. Hare followed that up with 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting, including three made 3-pointers in Fisher’s come-from-behind 72-64 win over top-seeded Nazareth in the Empire 8 Championship game on Saturday.
