Jen Bowman led Houghton to a 1-1 week as the Highlanders defeated Alfred 8-1 and fell to John Carroll, 1-0. Bowman tallied a hat-trick in her first Empire 8 conference game. She converted a penalty kick 4:26 into the game and twenty seconds later she registered an assist. Nine minutes following the assist she notched her second goal of the game as Houghton held a 5-1 lead at the half. Bowman completed the hat trick in the 61st minute.
