Emilie Edwards wasted little time making her offensive skills known as she was moved from a defensive role to a forward position in the second half against Utica. The Highlanders dominated the first half of play, outshooting the Pioneers 17-2 but failed to capitalize. Edwards netted the game-winning goal in the 73rd minute. Edwards received a cross from Ellison on the right side of the box and made a couple moves around some Pioneer defenders to deposit the ball into the left corner of the net.
