Empire 8 institutions Alfred University, SUNY Brockport, SUNY Geneseo, Houghton University, Nazareth University, St. John Fisher University and Utica University men's and women's programs were named 2025 NCAA Division III All-Academic Teams, announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The Russell Sage College men's team and the Hartwick College women's team also earned that honor.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
On the women's side, Hartwick excelled in the classroom with a tremendous 3.81 GPA, while Houghton recorded an excellent 3.7 mark and St. John Fisher finished with a 3.67 GPA. Nazareth recorded a 3.57 mark, Alfred recorded a 3.52, league champion Geneseo had a 3.5, Brockport had a 3.46 while Utica had a team GPA of 3.21.
The St. John Fisher men led all E8 men's institutions with a team GPA of 3.73, Russell Sage was behind them with a 3.56 GPA and Nazareth was right behind with 3.53. Brockport finished with 3.45 along with league champions Geneseo and Houghton both coming in at 3.4. Alfred finished with a 3.36 GPA and Utica finished it out with a 3.14.
