Day Two of 2026 NCAA Swimming and Diving Finishes With Handful of Second Team All-American Honors

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The SUNY Geneseo women's swimming and diving team excelled on day two of the NCAA Championship Meet on Thursday, March 19. Alex Sotek highlighted day two with a 13th place finish in the 100 yard butterfly for Second Team All-American Honors. The men's 200-yard freestyle relay team of Brian Pabisch, Jake Nielsen, Dylan Gallub and Peter Peyser highlighted day two for the Knights, finishing in 11th place with a time of 1:20.34, and earning Second Team All-American honors 

On the women's side, day two of the meet saw performances from Hannah Brockman in the 200-yard freestyle, Sotek in the 100-yard butterfly, Morgan Davey and Lydia Benjamin in the 1-meter dives and the 200 yard free relay team. Brockman opened the day in the 200 yard free, touching at 1:56.52, while Sotek secured a 13th place finish, touching at 55.87 seconds. Davey led for the Knights in the 1-meter diving, scoring 392.65 prints for 16th, followed by Benjamin in 18th with 387.15 points. Davey would earn Second Team All-American honors.

Sotek, Erin Johannsen, Sibby Loweand Emily McCord took on the 200 yard freestyle relay to round out day two, finishing at 1:35.19 for 22nd place. 

SUNY Geneseo's men are tied for 18th with 26 points through Thursday, while the women are 27th with 11 points.
