GENESEO, NY - SUNY Geneseo Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation
Dani Drews has announced Quintin Rogers as the Knights' Women's Soccer Head Coach. Rogers becomes Geneseo's sixth head coach in program history, succeeding
Nate Wiley who spent the past 20 years leading the Knights.
"We are excited for Coach Rogers to join the Geneseo family," said Drews. "He is going to bring so much passion and energy to our women's soccer program, we are confident that he will make an impact on the academic and athletic success of our student-athletes, as well as the Geneseo community."
Rogers comes to Geneseo after serving as the head coach for Keuka last season, and he previously spent time as an assistant coach at Brockport and Monroe Community College. Last season with the Wolves, Rogers led the team to 12 Empire 8 President's List Selections, Empire 8 Team Academic Awards in both the fall and spring semesters, and six CSC Academic All-District Award honorees. During his time with the Golden Eagles, Rogers assisted the head coach in game planning, video sessions, and recruiting. On the field, he worked with the forwards on their finishing ability and saw an increase of 30 goals in his first season as the team made it to the SUNYAC semi-finals. Prior to his time at SUNY Brockport, Rogers coached with the nationally-ranked program at Monroe CC. He was the director of local recruiting for the Tribunes, a team that peaked as #3 in the NJCAA Division I rankings. He also collaborated with the head coach on tactics and coordinated the ID camps hosted by the college.

"The women's soccer program has an incredible history of success both on and off the field, and I'm extremely blessed to take over the program from Coach Wiley who has done an amazing job the last 20 seasons. A team captain and all-conference selection as a player at SUNY Morrisville, Rogers has grown as a coach, obtaining a United States Soccer Federation D License as well as his NSCAA Level 1 Goalkeeper Diploma. He has also spent time outside of the college ranks coaching local club teams. He has coached for the Rochester Jr. Rhinos, NY Rush Select, and most recently for WNY Flash Rochester.
