Community Service Projects: I helped build homes through Habitat for Humanity on my senior class trip in high school. I have also been a member of my hometown’s volunteer fire department since 2014. Lastly, I volunteered at the Oneonta Boys and Girls Club helping run activities for kids.

Plans After Graduation: I am in the process of applying for jobs and after graduation I plan to be employed with a full time job.

What Do You See Yourself Doing in 5 Years: I see myself working in Law Enforcement.

What is Your Ultimate Professional Goal: My ultimate professional goal is to be employed in the FBI or another government agency.

How Has Playing Collegiately and in the Empire 8 Prepared You For Life After College: Playing collegiately has taught me how to overcome adversity and helped me learn how to continue to stay positive when things may not go the way they were expected. The best decision I have made was to play football at Hartwick because it has become a second home and my teammates are my family. Deciding to play collegiately has given me the ability to gain important life skills like leadership, dedication, time management and hard work, amongst other things.

Favorite Athletic Memory from Your Time in College: My favorite athletic memory from my time in college is being named captain. It was something I didn’t expect and I was grateful for the opportunity to set an example for my teammates to follow.

Biggest On-Campus Mentor: Coach Mark Carr

What Have You Learned About Yourself from Freshman to Senior Year: I have changed so much since my freshman year. I learned that I am capable of many more things that I expected and that I can achieve my goals if I put the extra work in. My four years in college have shaped me into who I am and have taught me so much about myself.

What Type of Leader Are You: I would consider myself the type of leader that leads by example and always puts the team first. I will do anything to help my team, and teammates, be successful.

One Thing Most People Do Not Know About You: I have never broken a bone

Advice for Freshmen Teammates or Student-Athletes: My advice for freshmen would be to focus on your school work from the start. You don’t want to fall behind and be trying to catch up on work especially being a student-athlete. Also I would tell freshmen to always believe in yourself. There may be times where things get hard and you may start to think that you can’t do it anymore, but being able to push through that and overcome the hard times will help you in the future. There is nothing more rewarding than being able to say you have been able to go through four years as a student-athlete, and it will be over before you know it so be thankful for the opportunity you have been given and enjoy it!
