St. John Fisher College women's lacrosse standouts Sydney DeGirolamo and Claudia Mocciaro were named 2020 Maverik Women’s Division III Media All-Americans presented by Inside Lacrosse. DeGirolamo earned first team honors, while Mocciaro was an honorable mention selection.

Contributors of Inside Lacrosse and members of the lacrosse media picked this season's top 12 attackers, nine midfielders, 12 defenders, top three draw specialists, and top three goalies. Honorable mention selections were chosen based on players who received multiple votes, but did not accrue the totals of the first, second, or third honorees.

DeGirolamo was selected as the draw specialist for the All-American First Team. The sophomore led the Cardinals with 25 draw controls and ranked 12th in the nation with 8.33 draw controls per game. Against No. 23 Cortland on March 11, the Manlius native posted a season-high nine draw controls.

The 2019 Empire 8 Rookie of the Year also led Fisher with 18 points in three games during the 2020 campaign. DeGirolamo set a new career-high for points in game at Meredith on March 7 with 10 by scoring four goals and adding six assists. The Fayetteville-Manlius High School recorded 10 goals, eight assists, three ground balls and two caused turnovers. The 2019 First Team All-Region honoree also buried two free position goals on the season.

Mocciaro was off to a terrific start to the season that was ultimately cut short due to the COVID-19 virus. The junior's .667 save percentage ranked second in all of Division III and her 3.63 goals against average was the third lowest of any netminder in the country. The Syracuse native started all three games in the cage for the Cardinals and posted a perfect 3-0 record. The West Genesee High School graduate posted a career-high 12 saves in the 9-5 victory over nationally-ranked Cortland.

Fisher dominated their competition by outscoring their opponents, 60-12, while winning all three games for the 2020 season. The Cardinals also were ranked 12th in the final IWLCA Division III Coaches Poll of the year.
