Riley Corey Repeats as Runner of the Meet, as 2021 Empire 8 Announces Women’s Cross Country All-Conference Selections

St. John Fisher College junior Riley Corey earned her second straight Empire 8 Runner of the Meet honor, as the conference announced its 2021 Women’s Cross Country All-Conference selections on Friday, November 5.
 
Corey won her second straight Empire 8 individual title on October 30 by 45 seconds in a time of 22:04.4 over 6,000-meters from the Washington County Fairgrounds. Corey led from start to finish help St. John Fisher win its second straight Empire 8 Women’s Cross Country Championship and second of the 2021 calendar year.
 
The Empire 8 first, second and third team selections were determined at the championship meet on October 30. The top-seven finishers earned first team honors, while finishers 8-14 garnered second team accolades and finishers 15-21 were third team picks. Corey and Houghton’s Amanda Burrichter earned All-Empire 8 first team honors for the third consecutive season, while St. John’s Fisher’s Lauren DeMichele and Morgan Gould were repeat selections.
