St. John Fisher's Nick Miller Named to USILA's Team of the Week Following Record-Breaking Performances

Senior Nick Miller of the nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College men's lacrosse team caught the attention of the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association on Tuesday following the Ithaca product's standout performances last week as he has been named to the USILA's Team of the Week.

Miller rewrote Fisher's record book as the attackman broke the Cardinals' all-time high mark for career goals after combining to produce seven goals and three assists against top of the top teams in Division III.

Against the top-ranked RIT Tigers on Wednesday, Miller scored four goals including one that broke the program record and assisted on two others as Fisher nearly toppled the Tigers, 16-15.  Three days later against the No. 18 Ithaca College Bombers, Miller accounted for three more goals and an assist.

An All-American in each of the last two seasons, Miller also accounted for five ground balls and a caused turnover on the week.  For the season, Miller leads the team and the Empire 8 in goals with 20 and is tied for the conference lead with 28 points through seven games.

Miller and the rest of the No. 14 Cardinals will be back in action at 7 p.m. on Wednesday when they make their Empire 8 debut at Keuka College.
