Darin Eakins and Austin Jobson Selected to Play in USILA Senior All-Star Game on May 28

Two members of the nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College men's lacrosse team have been selected to play in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's Senior All-Star Game as announced on Friday morning.

Graduate student Darin Eakins along with senior Austin Jobson will represent the Cardinal and Gold as the top seniors from across Division III come together on Friday afternoon.  The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and will take place at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I.  Fans can watch all of the action by CLICKING HERE.

Eakins was named the Empire 8 conference's Goalie of the Year as the graduate student accrued 12 wins between the pipes for the No. 8 Cardinals.  Over 16 games, Eakins, who was also named First-Team All-Conference, played to a .505 save percentage and is among the top keepers in the country with a 10.56 goals against average.

The Hamburg, Germany native has made 147 saves this year and faced one of the toughest schedules in Division III including four top-20 teams.

Jobson was selected as a short stick defensive midfielder after playing in 15 games for head coach Dave Dobbins this year.  Jobson, who was often tasked with guarding some of the top players in the region, finished the year with six goals and an assist to go along with four ground balls and two caused turnovers.

The Cardinals concluded the 2021 season with a 12-4 overall record and won its second straight Empire 8 Championship. The team earned its second consecutive trip to the NCAA Championship where it defeated Maritime College to advance to the Sweet 16.
