The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame announced its 2021 NFF Hampshire Honor Society. Hartwick's
Josh Craig (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake),
Eli Greene (Poughkeepsie, NY/Arlington),
John Sapanaro (Manorville, NY/Eastport-South Manor),
Jack Steinman (North Haven, CT/North Haven), and
Tyler White (Sherburne, NY/Sherburne-Earlville) each earned membership.
The Hampshire Honor Society is comprised annually of seniors from all college divisions who have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher throughout their college careers. A total of 910 players from 255 schools of all divisions of play qualified as the society celebrates its 15th year.
Craig, a linebacker, is a five-time Empire 8 President's List member. He is a Phillip S. Wilder Jr. Award winner for academic distinction and has played in 15 games making 12 tackles for 'Wick.
Greene, a defensive back and captain, has played in 16 games for the Hawks. He has made 34 tackles, one for a loss, defended four passes, made one interception with a 12-yard return, and has recovered two fumbles
Sapanaro, an offensive lineman and captain, is a three-time Empire 8 President's List member. He is a Phillip S. Wilder Jr. Award winner for academic distinction and has played in 21 games making one tackle.
Steinman, a tight end and captain for the Hawks, was selected to the Empire 8 Second Team in 2019. He is a four-time Empire 8 President's List member, a Phillip S. Wilder Jr. Award winner for academic distinction, and a Phil Rigano Trophy winner. Steinman has played in 20 games, made 55 receptions for 748 yards, and registered five touchdowns.
White is a Phillip S. Wilder Jr. Award winner for academic distinction. He has played in 17 games on the Hawks' offensive line.
