Alfred, Hartwick and Nazareth Swimming and Diving Programs Earn CSCAA Spring 2021 Scholar All-America Team Honors

The Alfred University, Hartwick College and Nazareth College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams garnered 2021 Scholar All-America Team accolades by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for their hard work in the classroom during the Spring 2021 semester.
 
Swimmers and divers showed tremendous resolve in the classroom this semester, all during a global pandemic which disrupted much of their academic and athletic schedules. Selections were made on the basis of Spring grade-point averages and represent 17,982 student-athletes. The Scholar All-America team includes 721 teams from 424 institutions.
 
Hartwick’s men recorded a team GPA of 3.45 during the spring semester to lead the Empire 8, while Alfred was right behind with a 3.32 mark and Nazareth posted a 3.17 average. On the women’s side, Alfred recorded a 3.42 GPA to lead the way, while Nazareth posted a 3.39 mark and Hartwick finished with a 3.34 average.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation’s first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
