WEBSTER, NY – The Alfred State College men and Nazareth College women won team titles at the 2022 Allegheny Empire 8 Swimming and Diving Championship, held at the Webster Aquatic Center from February 16-19.
The Pioneers of Alfred State earned their first Allegheny Empire title with 969.5 points, just edging out 2020 champion Nazareth College, who finished with 944 points. Alfred University (882), Penn State Behrend (839) and Hartwick (762) rounded out the top five.
Defending champion Nazareth dominated from start to finish to earn the team title with 1,340.5 points, nearly double the next team, Penn State Behrend, who finished with 786 points. Hartwick placed third with 662.5 points, while Alfred State was fourth (592.5) and Penn State Altoona finished fifth (557.5).
