Nicholas Miller of the nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College men's lacrosse team was included among the top players in Division III on Wednesday evening as the attackman was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's national Team of the Week following his exploits on the field last week.
Miller, who was also named the Empire 8's Player of the Week for the fourth time on Monday, led the No. 5 Cardinals with four goals and six assists in the team's win over Russell Sage College on Saturday and moved into sole possession of first place on the team's all-time assist list.
The Ithaca native was also credited with having picked up three ground balls in the win and fired six shots in all.
To date, Miller is the program's all-time leader in goals, assists and points and holds the Empire 8's all-time mark for career goals.
Miller and the rest of the men's lacrosse team will be back in action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon as they welcome fourth-seeded Hartwick College to Growney Stadium for the opening round of the Empire 8 Championship.
